After six years of writing and waiting, it’s finally here!

My beginning method book & CD for double-strung harp, Make Mine a Double, arrived yesterday from the printers. (Waiting since September for the books was the hardest part!)
Click here for more information on Make Mine a Double, including downloadable PDFs of the table of contents, a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page, and a sample etude.
If you’re in the Midwest: I will officially launch Make Mine a Double on October 25 at the Great Lakes Harpers regional harp conference (DeKalb IL). Come to my table in the exhibit hall to get one of the very first copies…signed, if you like! (I’ll also perform on the Saturday evening concert, and present my Gather Round: Rounds and Canons for Harp Ensemble workshop on Sunday morning.)
If you can’t make it to the conference, you can contact me directly via my website to order. When my warehouse finishes the online ordering setup (in a few days), you will be able to order from my website store.  (I’ll let you know when online ordering is enabled.)
Time to celebrate! Thanks for everyone’s support!

Updates: Great Lakes Harpers and Ohio Scottish Arts School

Finally! I’m back, after a busy summer of gigs and writing, with teaching/performing updates for October 2008 and June 2009.

On Sunday, October 26 (9:00-10:30 AM), I’ll be presenting my workshop: “Gather Round: Rounds and Canons for Harp Ensemble” (go here for a workshop description) at the Great Lakes Harpers regional conference at Northern Illinois University (DeKalb IL). I’ll also perform a solo set at the Saturday PM concert, and I will have a booth in the exhibit hall on Saturday and Sunday. (Watch this blog for book launch news… it’s the one you’ve been waiting for, and it’s worth the wait!)

And, I’m excited to announce that next June I will be one of the harp instructors at the Ohio Scottish Arts School! Teaching at OSAS has been a dream of mine since I first attended as a student, and I am delighted to join Sue Richards, Sharon Knowles, Ann Heymann (USA) and Corrina Hewat (Scotland) on the harp faculty. This is the summer school for Scottish harping in the US… come to Oberlin, Ohio and join us!
